Today, as the world revolves and the the minutes pass we would like to take a moment to remember our dear departed friend, Gerry O'Donnell.
Gerry passed away a year ago today and his likes will never pass this way again. Of course, Olive, Olga, Olwyn, Roger, Rodney and his beloved family miss him more than words can say and the wonderful O'Donnells are central to our thoughts today.
Gerry was a man who lived life to the full. He loved deeply and wore his heart on his sleeve. His family, his club and his community were central to everything he did and to say he was loved in Ballina RFC would be an understatement.
Ballina Rugby Football Club will forever mourn the passing of Gerry. We will miss his drive, passion and delivery. We will miss the fact that Gerry knew everyone, cared for everyone and wanted the best for everyone.
Simply, we have missed Gerry every single day for the past year and that will never change. However, all of us are more determined than ever to continue Gerry's great work and drive Ballina Rugby Football Club to even greater heights.
Gerry O'Donnell will never be forgotten in Ballina Rugby Club. May he rest in peace.
