Golf Classic is another huge success
Ballina Rugby Club held a hugely successful Golf Classic in Ballina Golf Club on Saturday in glorious sunshine. The event was made possible with the input of club members, volunteers on the ground and sponsors across the community along with loyal gracious sponsors from The Moy Valley who support every year. The 36 teams of four who played and enjoyed the excellent course presented by Padraic Clince Head Greenkeeper, Michael Murphy and his eam.
Alan Murphy, Dai Newman, Stephen Lacken and Davy Hunt provided excellent food and refreshments at the tenth Tee from Gill Group caravan, facilitated by Michael Carr Meats, O’Hara’s Bakery, Sean Barrett Wholesalers, Connacht Whiskey Distillery, Coca-Cola and Diageo.
Special Mention to Mattie Lehane who worked tirelessly, in the lead up aa well as Martin Boland, Mick Rowe, Tommy Cooke, Pat Buckley, Catherine Newman, Andrew Keegan , Deirdre Moylett, John Raftery, and Niall Jennings who was unavoidably absent.
