Calum Quinn picked up the lastest P. O'Connor & Son Solicitors, Player of the Week award after a superb performance against Galwegians in Crowley Park.
The hard-running centre was the deserved choice of the management team following Ballina's 53-5 victory and he was surprised but delighted with the recognition.
"This was a very good team display and any one of the lads out there could have got the award. We all worked hard today and kept the intensity high right through the game, which made it very enjoyable to play in," he explained after picking up his award from William O'Connor from the sponsors.
William is also President of Ballina RFC so he was doubly delighted when he spoke about Calum's dislay. "Calum is a very worthy winner. His performance today was of a very high quality and he was central to many of our best moments. In truth, it was a hard job for management to pick the Player of the Week as there were top-class performances all over the pitch. Gary Kavanagh and Alex Corduff were in the top three picks by the management and both men were also very impressive.
"As sponsors of the award we're absolutely delighted to see such competition for the accolade every week."
